randerskommune2Randers Airfield is located in the heart of East Jutland, and is the second largest airfield in the area. Randers Airfield is owned and operated by the Municipality of Randers.

The airfield due to its location is ideal for small and medium sized air transport and taxi flights. It is possible to fly direct from Randers Airfield to destinations both at home and abroad.

About the Airfield

Randers Airfield is located on Højsletvej at the northern outskirts of Randers City, approx. 4.8 km from the city center. The asphalt runway 07/25 has an elevation of 153 ft. and a length and width of 900 x 23 m.

ICAO airport code: EKRD

The airfield is approved for VMC day and VFR night operations. Runway lighting and airfield beacon can be activated by keying the microphone of your VHF radio (see VFR Flight Guide).

Oil is available during office hours 

Refueling is self-service, and for holders of Statoil carnet only. Customers must also be registered at the airfield. If not the case, make an appointment with the Airfield Manager by telephone (see below).

Parking on the grass area behind our clubhouse is free, whereas parking overnight on the paved ramp will incur a charge.

Customs & Immigration

Randers Airfield is open to traffic to or from all Countries. Customs clearance and immigration are available upon request by email: told3.aarhus @skat.dk. Request for customs clearance and immigration shall contain the following information 1) Departure aerodrome 2) Callsign 3) Pilot-in-commands name 4) Total number of persons on board 5) Estimated arrival time.


The Club maintains a small number of bicycles, which can be freely used by visitors to the airfield.
